From May 20 to 22, PORTILAME took part in Construmat 2025, one of the largest international trade fairs in the construction sector, held in Barcelona.
Standing out for its innovation and commitment to sustainability, the company showcased a unique stand, designed in-house by architect João Veloso, which evoked the essence of Catalan culture through subtle references to Gaudí and Miró.
A stand inspired by local culture
The 40 m² stand recreated a cozy living room with panoramic views over Barcelona. This approach not only attracted visitors but also reflected PORTILAME’s dedication to internationalization and its respect for the local cultures in which it operates.
Innovative timber solutions: VEIA System
During the fair, PORTILAME presented the VEIA construction system, developed in partnership with the University of Minho and supported by the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR). This modular solution stands out for its adaptability, sustainability, and construction speed, effectively addressing current environmental and architectural demands.
Variety and versatility in the solutions presented
In addition to VEIA, PORTILAME introduced a range of technical and aesthetic solutions:
- Solid timber structures;
- Glued laminated timber and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber);
- Sustainable interior and exterior cladding;
- Efficient, fast-assembly modular solutions.
Positive impact in numbers
Construmat 2025 welcomed over 23,000 visitors and 368 exhibitors from 22 countries, creating an environment that fostered new networks and business opportunities. PORTILAME’s stand attracted numerous investors and journalists interested in the company’s innovative journey, as well as strategic partners aiming at future collaborations.
