On 28 May 2026, PORTILAME and the School of Business Sciences at the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (ESCE/IPVC) signed a cooperation agreement designed to strengthen the links between higher education, applied research and the region’s business community.
The aim of this agreement is to establish guidelines for closer collaboration between the two institutions, promoting the development of joint projects, training programmes, technical and scientific events, professional placements and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The partnership provides, amongst other areas of activity, for the conduct of studies in areas of shared expertise, the organisation of seminars, conferences and workshops, the promotion of advanced training in the workplace, the development of national and international cooperation projects, and the exchange of experts.
For PORTILAME, this agreement represents a further step in its commitment to innovation, the development of skills and closer ties with the academic world, helping to create opportunities for students and to develop solutions that have a real impact on businesses and the region.
Collaboration with ESCE/IPVC will also help to enhance students’ integration into the business world, bridging the gap between scientific and technical knowledge and the practical needs of industry, and fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between educational institutions, businesses and the community.
Through this partnership, PORTILAME is reinforcing its commitment to cooperation, skills development and regional development, helping to foster greater integration between knowledge, innovation and business activity.
